From shipboard engineering to civilian technology.
My career began as a Gas Turbine Systems Electrician in the United States Navy, where I progressed from junior technician to Chief Petty Officer. Over 21 years, I maintained and led teams responsible for power generation, propulsion support, electrical distribution, alarm systems, digital monitoring equipment, and computerized control systems.
As naval engineering systems evolved, I gained experience with Windows-based monitoring systems, network-connected equipment, smart ship components, secure command-line administration, and business platforms such as Salesforce.
Outside of the Navy, I have continued building IT experience through Linux servers, virtualization, Docker, networking, Ubiquiti infrastructure, databases, reverse proxies, automation, and self-hosted services.
